Expert Advice

Our expert bioinformaticians are available to troubleshoot simple or complex research design, data analysis and computing problems. If necessary, we convene expert working groups to meet with researchers (with or without subscriptions) to discuss and plan their experiments, work through the data to be analysed, provide advice on tools or resources, or just troubleshoot.

There are no charges for consultation and training for University of Melbourne and affiliated researchers, whether academics or students. We can often get people set up and working in the right direction just by consulting amongst our team. We have a wealth of experience across diverse areas of bioinformatics and particular expertise in human genomics, including cancer. We can also locate expertise, where necessary, from across our extensive network and direct researchers to appropriate bioinformatics compute infrastructure and training materials.
